Russell Fashion Foot Hosiery Mills story begins in 1941 when Paul Russell founded Russell Hosiery Mills. It was a leader in the hosiery industry in the U.S. for 47 years, selling socks to sports teams, big box stores, food & drug, along with many other industries. In 1986, a well known apparel company wanted to add socks to their product line, but they needed a brand with a base of operations. They chose Russell Hosiery Mills & purchased the company.
William Sullivan, then branched out on his own & founded Russell Fashion Foot Hosiery. Since 1986, Russell Fashion Foot Hosiery Mills has supplied the food and drug industries with high quality socks that you purchase in stores today. Using the high quality standard that Paul Russell held, Fashion Foot socks remain true to his 1941 vision of quality and construction.
The old Russell Hosiery Mills facility still stands today and is a major art center for the area called Starworks.
